Handled first Vessel carried 4600 MT Bitumen in Pakistan
This is the first vessel carrying 4600Mtons Bitumen, discharged at Port Qasim under Gateway Express Shipping Agency.
Our scope of work was to handle the complete vessel discharging operation at Port Muhammad Bin Qasim, we have timely covered the Customs clearance process and transported to the storage facility located 12 KM away from the port.
The vessel alongside at port during the Month of Raman and it was a challenge for our staff to discharge the bitumen which was on 140 Centigrade, it was very difficult but our teams performed this job very professionally and completed the discharging within the given time frame by the Port authorities.

Handling Hot Operation of Bitumen Containers
Right from the arrival at Karachi Port Trust (KPT) and final destination to Shujabad, Punjab i-e , Freight Connection Pakistan handled the project which was a real challenge, our scope was not limited to transport but vessel handling agency, custom clearance, taking direct delivery of bitumen in the specialized Bitutainers & tank lorries from bulk vessel at the temperature of 150 degree centigrade and transport to site at the same temperature.The total journey is about 875 KM with special NHA permissions to transport such hot cargo.
Our dedicated Project team has made it possible by working 24/7 at KPT while discharging cargo from vessel to Bitutainers/Tank Lorries, made all Customs clearance arrangements in advance and arranged permissions from National Highway Authority for timely and smooth delivery. Actively coordinated with all port authorities for timely berthing of vessel and made special arrangement at berth for discharging the bitumen directly in Bitutainers.
